Scope

Detailed Design of Primary & Secondary Systems and the Supply of the Protection & Control System (incl remote ends). The substation comprised:

Upgrading / renewal of the existing 275/132kV Cherry Gardens substation;
275kV and 132kV equipment replaced in stages;
Upgrade of Remote Ends;
Substation was re-configured to:
- 9 x 275kV Diameters (27 x 275kB circuit breakers);
- 2 x 132kV Diameters (6 x 132kV circuit breakers);
- 1 x 225MVA Transformer (with provision for a future second unit).
