The Brendale BESS project in Brisbane’s outer suburbs is a renewable energy initiative under development, targeting 205 MW / 410 MWh capacity. It supports Queensland’s Renewable Energy Targets by providing reliable, affordable clean energy and ancillary services to the National Electricity Market (NEM), such as Energy Arbitrage and Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS).

CPP is responsible for a comprehensive scope of services for the Brendale 205 MW / 410 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Brendale, Queensland. This includes balance of plant (BoP) engineering encompassing design of product drawings, electrical systems, civil works, and geotechnical investigations. We are also tasked with BoP procurement, acquiring materials such as transformers, switchgear, and control room equipment.
During construction, CPP will oversee installation of BESS and PCS equipment, site security, temporary facilities, civil works, utilities installation, and environmental approvals. They will manage project planning, emergency protocols, equipment maintenance, and ensure all installations meet specified standards and codes.
