The redevelopment of the East Rowville Terminal Station (ERTS) will see a complete overhaul of its infrastructure. This includes replacing existing high-voltage equipment with upgraded 220kV and 66kV apparatus for better reliability and efficiency in power transmission.

The redevelopment of ERTS includes replacement of 220kV and 66kV apparatus, 2x 150MVA Transformers and Civil works.
The installation of the two transformers will significantly enhance the station’s capacity to handle and distribute electrical power.
Civil works are also planned to support these upgrades and ensure the station complies with modern safety and operational standards. These improvements aim to sustainably meet the increasing electricity needs of the region served by ERTS.
Most of the switchgear and three 220/66kV transformers at SVTS have reached the end of their service life. The project aims to rebuild the 220kV and 66kV switchyards and replace three out of the four 220/66kV transformers. The project scope includes, but is not limited to:
